You may have noticed Team Transmit keeps growing, so let’s say hello to another member of the Operations Team, Chelsea Etherington. Chelsea takes us through a typical day in the office and what her day-to-day job entails.
What is your current position at Transmit Start-Ups? Tell us a little about your role and what it entails.
I am currently an Applications Assistant in the Operations Team. I process loan applications from start to finish - from initial contact - uploading application details onto relevant systems, completing eligibility checks, to the end goal - inputting successful applicants details to the finance company to process their loan. I also pick up any applicant queries by email, phone and live chat on a daily basis.
What does a typical day at Transmit Start-Ups look like for you?
A typical day at Transmit for me is trying to run a smooth process start to finish. Processing applications and inputting their details to the finance company to process their loan. Ensuring that everything I do is done to our dedicated timescales and making sure the applicants know where they are at with their application and are happy with the process they are going through.
What is your background prior to joining Transmit Start-Ups and what made you decide to join the company?
Prior to joining Transmit I was a Senior Recruitment Executive. I decided to join Transmit as I wanted to progress my career and learn something new along the way.
What do you like to do away from the office to relax, do you have any hobbies or other interests?
Away from the office I enjoy going to the gym, reading, and spending time with my boyfriend and friends.
What is it about working with start-ups that you like?
I like the office environment - we have a friendly team and we care about the job we do.
If you could give one tip to a Start Up Loan applicant what would it be?
My one tip would be - to be prepared. We may need to ask for various documentation along the way, the more prepared you are the smoother and quicker the process will be.
If you’re thinking about setting up your own business or need any advice or questions answered on the start-up process, give us a call or drop us an email, we’d love to hear from you!
