Support for high growth companies
Business Northumberland delivers a suite of support programmes and training for businesses of all stages, across Northumberland and Tyne & Wear.
The programme is run by Arch and funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
In August 2017, Transmit Consulting was awarded the contract to deliver the high growth element of the programme, working with businesses that are already on a steep growth curve, or have the ability and aspiration to scale-up.
Our consultants cover all aspects of growth including sales and marketing, HR development, diversification, operational resilience, e-commerce and innovation.
Disruptive models and emerging technologies
Transmit Consulting is currently working closely with Gateshead Council to deliver a pilot programme around business and technological innovation.
We are assisting three young tech companies, that have disruptive business models and/or are using emerging technologies, with their go-to-market and scale-up strategies.
We aim to launch the full programme in early summer 2018 which will tie in with the opening of the Council’s new building ‘Proto: Emerging Technology Centre’ located on Gateshead Technology Park. More information to follow.
Coaching commercial creative entrepreneurs
Transmit Group’s long-standing relationship dates back to the very early days of Transmit Consulting when we delivered their Music Clinics, providing one-to-one advice to music businesses, such as record labels, gig promoters and artist managers.
Since then, Generator has evolved into an agency to develop talent and generate business in the commercial creative industries.
They deliver a series of programmes and events as well as running Digital Union which is a membership organisation for digital companies.
Transmit Consulting helps Generator deliver their coaching programme and growth workshops.
Eliminating household poverty
In 2017, our Community Interest Company, Transmit Enterprise CIC, agreed terms with Fundacion Paraguaya to license their Poverty Stoplight programme for the UK.
Poverty Stoplight was created as both a metric and a methodology that enables families to assess their level of poverty and to carry out personalized strategies to overcome their specific deprivations.
Using a tablet app and global data, it breaks down the overwhelming concept of poverty into smaller, more manageable problems that can be solved through simple interventions.
Poverty Stoplight is delivered under our Signal brand for the UK market.
Improving resilience in the arts
Run by Creative United and funded by Arts Council England, Prosper has been designed to deliver impactful business support activities to improve resilience, commercial capacity and investment readiness for the arts, museums and libraries.
Business Support Director at Transmit Group, Damian Baetens, helps a number of the chosen 70 cultural and creative organisations with the challenges they face and strengthens their operation for future growth.
